At this point, I'm going to have to ask a question, and I promise that I do not ask it lightly.
I have encountered Christians who are accepting of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, such as those at the Metropolitan Community Church
. I have also met Christians that merely tolerate members of the LGBTI community. I have met Christians who are friendly and claim to be accepting, but ultimately use terminology like 'cure' and 'broken' in the context of homosexuality and trangenderism that is undeniably insulting. And lastly, I have met a larger number of Christians who either loathe or actively persecute members of the LGBTI community. Without trying to sound personal, I would like to know: what is your opinion of homosexual, bisexual and transgendered pеople please?
I am asking this openly, in front of the whole forum, and without intending prejudice. I ask because I have met a large number of Christians on the internet, particularly on other forums, who feel it is their Christian duty to seek out and persecute any and all members of the aforementioned group, or to 'cure' them (to use their insulting term).
I apologise in advance if I have offended yourselves or anyonе else here. I am not trying to discriminate against Christians. However, I am asking about this because of the attitudes of Christians I have interacted with in the past. I'm not trying to start a flame war, I just want to know where I can stand.
